Dr. Carrie B. Wasserman is a board-certified hematologist/oncologist. She has over 10 years of experience managing complex cancer cases and benign blood disorders in New York and New Jersey. Dr. Wasserman received her medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine and completed her internal medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital. She completed a three-year hematology/oncology fellowship at St. Luke's–Roosevelt Hospital. Dr. Wasserman has trained residents and hematology/oncology fellows from several programs. Since 2018, she has played an integral role in the training of hematology/oncology fellows at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. She serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine, St. George’s University School of Medicine. She is thrilled to be leading the partnership between The Brooklyn Hospital Center and New York Cancer and Blood Specialists. She was born and completed medical school in Brooklyn and is passionate about bringing high quality, efficient cancer care to the diverse and historically underserved Fort Greene community.
