CT uses advanced types of X-rays which are taken rapidly from a number of different angles through the body and well-equipped workstation produce cross-sectional view. For some procedures, a dye will be injected and some oral contrast will be given to patients to highlight certain anomalies that provide accuracy. This test is noninvasive, safe, and well-tolerated. It provides highly detailed images at many different parts of the body.
